Who Owns 7 Brew?
A management group called Brew Culture runs it, with Blackstone as an investor since 2024. The drive thru coffee chain has changed hands several times since it opened in Arkansas, including a stint with the founder of Jimmy John’s.
Few chains have changed hands this often while growing this fast. In about seven years 7 Brew went from a single stand to more than 800.

The Jimmy John’s connection
In March 2021, with just nine stands, 7 Brew took a majority investment from Drink House Holdings. The two big names behind it were Jimmy John Liautaud, founder of the Jimmy John’s sandwich chain, and Jamie Coulter, founder of Lone Star Steakhouse.
Liautaud said at the time that the drive thru category was ripe for reinvention and rapid growth. Their money and franchising experience helped turn a regional coffee stand into a national franchise. Under their ownership the chain went from nine stands to around 200.
Blackstone’s role
Blackstone announced its investment on 14 February 2024, when 7 Brew had just over 190 stands. The terms were not disclosed, and 7 Brew describes Blackstone’s position as a minority stake. Chief executive John Davidson said Blackstone brought franchisee relationships, data science, operations and real estate expertise.
The effect on growth was immediate. 7 Brew opened 141 stands in 2024, ended the year with 321, and saw systemwide sales rise 162 percent to about 502 million dollars. It passed 500 stands in October 2025.
